A layered lotus flower fills the centre, a small triangle nested at its heart. Eight long pointed petals radiate around it, alternating with rounder points. A wide band of scrolling foliage surrounds them, holding eight round medallions: the Om syllable at the top, a downward triangle at the bottom, two mirrored crescent motifs at the sides, plus an upward triangle, concentric rings, a plain ring and a star-shaped flower. A row of small triangular points leads into a beaded circle with a faintly scalloped outline. The line work is fine and the pattern dense: the scrollwork and the eight medallions leave very small spaces, while the central petals give the pencil more room to move.
