What the collection holds
The site gathers 1,059 mandalas across 42 collections. Some follow a motif — flowers, animals, geometric shapes, hearts — others a season or a holiday. Designs range from a six-petal rosette a child fills in a quarter of an hour to compositions of several concentric rings that take a whole evening.
Every mandala coloring page comes in clean black and white line art, made to print properly on a home printer. Nothing to crop, resize or rebuild: the file is already at print size.
Choosing by the time you have
Four levels sort the drawings: easy, medium, hard and expert. The measure is not how handsome the pattern is but how large the areas are and how fine the line. An easy mandala has wide zones and a thick outline; an expert one multiplies small spaces that need a fine tip and patience.
- Easy — large areas, broad markers, from about four or five years old.
- Medium — repeated motifs, a good fit for colouring together.
- Hard and expert — tight lattices, coloured pencils or fine liners, better suited to a teenager or an adult.
Printing without surprises
Files are set for A4. In the print dialog choose "actual size" rather than "fit to page": automatic fitting sometimes leaves an uneven white margin and clips the outer edge of the mandala.
120 gsm paper is enough for coloured pencils. If you plan to use alcohol markers or watercolour, go up to 160 or 200 gsm, or the ink bleeds through and buckles the sheet. Printing in greyscale rather than pure black saves ink without costing the line any clarity.
Where to start
A mandala is usually coloured from the centre outward: your hand never passes over a fresh area, and the symmetry holds. Settling on three or four colours before you begin avoids the patchwork effect that comes from choosing as you go.
For a first attempt, an easy design finished beats an expert one abandoned halfway. It is also a quiet, repetitive activity that many people use to unwind — though it is worth doing for its own sake first.
Choose Your Difficulty Level
Our mandalas are organized by difficulty to suit all skill levels. From simple designs for beginners to complex patterns for experienced colorists.
