A fern-like spiral rosette wrapped in a braided Celtic-style border.
Six fern-frond spirals curl inward around a tiny blank circle at the heart of this mandala. A ring of pointed petals closes around them, then a wider band of overlapping, wavy petals opens the flower further out. Near the rim, flame-shaped points and finer scrolls tighten the pattern before a broad interlaced band, woven like a continuous Celtic knot, meets a clean double-line circle at the edge.
The line stays fine all the way out, but the cells vary in size: the wide petals give restful areas to fill, while the spirals and the woven border break into tiny compartments. This mandala coloring page suits an experienced colorist and takes two or three sittings to finish.
Start with the broad petals to get a feel for the pattern, then save fine liners or sharpened pencils for the woven border, the trickiest part. For this printable mandala, A4 on 200 gsm paper keeps marker ink from bleeding through.
