Halloween Mandala #17 - Free Coloring Page

At the centre of this mandala, a hollow-eyed skull sits over a fine spiderweb that fans out in a diamond lattice. A narrow ring extends that lattice, then a wider band alternates round, hollow-eyed ghost faces with crescent moons, tiny spiders and spiralling curls. Around it all, a broad black-silhouette frieze alternates bare trees and gabled haunted houses, with spiderwebs tucked into the corners, before a set of thin clean circles closes the design.

The line stays fine throughout, especially in the central web and the outer frieze with its tiny windows; the ghost faces and crescent moons leave somewhat larger areas to fill. This mandala coloring page suits colourists who enjoy minute detail and can hold a fine tool steady for a long stretch; expect several sittings to cover every ring.

Start with the skull and the central web using a fine-tip pen before tackling the tree-and-house frieze, the trickiest part with its cramped windows and branches; a sharpened coloured pencil handles that precision better than a broad marker. For this printable mandala, print at A3 on heavy paper to keep the smallest details intact.
