Butterflies and Dragonflies Mandala #24 - Free Coloring Page

Fine, dense linework builds this mandala outward from a tiny center rosette: tightly packed petals close around a spiral core, ringed by a wreath of small C-shaped scrolls. Eight pointed petals radiate next, each filled with its own texture - delicate vine scrollwork in some, clusters of small dots in others. Beyond them sits the main band, where butterflies and dragonflies alternate all the way around, their wings veined like real insect wings; leaves and small round berries fill the gaps between them, right up to a jagged outer edge shaped by wingtips and leaf points rather than a clean circle.

The linework tightens noticeably toward the outside, and the wing veins and dotted foliage call for a steady hand and real patience. This mandala coloring page suits someone already comfortable with fine detail, and it's realistically a multi-session project rather than a single evening.

Warm up on the central rosette with colored pencils, then save fine-tip markers for the wing veins, the trickiest part of the drawing. For this printable mandala, print on A3 paper at 200gsm - heavier stock keeps marker ink from bleeding through and holds up under the smaller petals.
