Natural Landscape Mandala #5 - Free Coloring Page

A plain double circle, with no beads or scalloping, closes the outer edge of this mandala. Just inside it, eight butterflies with checkered wings alternate with eight dragonflies, separated by swirls and small round-centered flowers. That insect band wraps a ring of scale-patterned petals, a row of round beads, and a layered rosette that folds inward to a single solid circle at the center.

The line stays fine throughout, though the open spaces differ in size: the wings and the large petals give wide, easy sections to fill, while the scale pattern on the petals and the beaded row call for a sharper pencil point. This mandala coloring page suits someone already comfortable with busy designs; plan on two to three hours to work from the center out to the insects.

Start with the central rosette and the large petals before tackling the detailed wings, which tire the eye faster; keep a fine liner or sharp pencil for the scale texture and the dragonfly bodies, too narrow for a broad marker. This printable mandala works best at A4 on heavy paper, around 200 gsm, so repeated strokes won't bleed through.
