At the center, an eight-petaled flower surrounds a small round core. A ring of spirals and teardrop shapes circles that flower, then a pointed star of slender petals unfolds among small blossoms. A dense band of buds, leaves and flowerheads forms a continuous garland further out. On the outer edge, large tulip-shaped petals alternate with clusters of five-petaled flowers and buds, divided by thin radial lines, before two fine circles close the design.

This mandala coloring page mixes fine detail with broader areas: the spirals and small petals near the center call for a steady hand, while the large outer petals fill in quickly as flat shapes. The line stays even throughout, with no shading built in. It suits a colorist comfortable with intricate patterns, and the two busy inner rings alone can take a couple of hours to complete.

A fine liner or a sharpened pencil gives more control than a broad marker for the spirals and tiny flower centers; start with the central flower before moving out to the sturdier outer rings.
