Organic Curves Mandala #29 - Free Coloring Page

Eight finely scrolled feather plumes fan out from the center to the edge of this mandala. At its heart sits a small six-petal rosette, ringed first by tight spirals, then by a band of small heart-shaped arches. The larger plumes that follow are lined with curling volutes and dotted with tiny circles along their ribs, tapering into pointed buds that leave a scalloped outline instead of a clean circle.

The linework is fine and dense, with many small pockets inside the scrolls and buds: this mandala coloring page rewards patience and suits a hand already comfortable with detail rather than a first attempt. Expect several sittings to cover all eight plumes, since the motifs repeat in tight variations across the design.

To avoid wrist fatigue, start with the central rosette and spirals before tackling the long plumes; a sharp colored pencil glides through the narrowest volutes better than a marker. This printable mandala looks best on heavy paper, A4 or letter size, at least 200 gsm, so the paper stock doesn't blur the finest lines.
