Two interlocking hearts sit at the very center, plain outlines with no fill. Four large scroll-worked hearts curl around them, forming a rosette. Further out, clusters of roses and leaves, tied with ribbons, frame a smaller heart at the top. A thin band of stars and dots separates this scene from a wide outer ring of pointed hearts trimmed with lace, closed by a scalloped lace edge that ripples all the way around the mandala.

The line stays fine throughout, tightening further in the lace band and the stars, where the spaces to fill are tiny; the scroll hearts and roses give larger, easier areas. This mandala coloring page suits someone already comfortable with detailed work, and the lace border alone can take a couple of sittings.

Start with the central hearts and roses in marker or felt-tip, then switch to a fine-tipped pencil for the lace and stars, which are easier to control on small shapes. For this printable mandala, use heavy paper, at least 200gsm, in A4 or A3, so ink doesn't bleed through in the busiest areas.
