Valentine Mandala #2 - Free Coloring Page

A six-pointed star holds the centre of this printable Valentine mandala, ringed by eight small hearts arranged like petals. Next comes a band of larger outlined hearts alternating with clusters of tiny roses, then a very dense band where roses, hearts and dots interlock without leaving a millimetre spare. What really sets this page apart is its outline: instead of the usual circle, the outer edge breaks into large hearts forming a scalloped rim, separated by diamond panels that each hold a heart of their own.

The linework is fine and the shapes are tightly packed, especially through the rose band. This is the most demanding page in the set.

Save the large edge hearts for last. They are the broadest areas on the sheet and they form a frame that sets off everything you have already done. For the rose band, a very fine tip will keep you from bleeding from one motif into the next. Print it at A4 on paper of at least 120 gsm if you are working with markers, and the ink will not bleed through.
