Valentine Mandala #3 - Free Coloring Page

A generous heart, packed with tangled scrolls and tiny spirals, sits at the center of this mandala, topped by three small hearts and holding a smaller heart within it. A slim, lace-like ring wraps around it, followed by a band where roses, holly and hearts alternate. The widest, outer band repeats doves with outstretched wings between hearts and scrollwork, and a clean double circle closes the design.

The linework is fine and dense at the center and in the dove band, packed with small areas to fill; it opens up in the floral ring for an easier stretch. This mandala coloring page suits a steady hand used to detail and patient enough for the tight spirals at the center; expect several sittings to finish it.

Start with the larger floral ring and the dove backgrounds before tackling the scrolls inside the central heart, the finest lines on the page, where a fine liner or gel pen will hold up better than a broad pencil. For this printable mandala, print on A4 paper of at least 160gsm if you plan to use markers, so the ink doesn't bleed through.
