Autumn Mandala #16 - Free Coloring Page

Eight sunburst medallions, spiked like small suns and each enclosing a tiny acorn, clover, mushroom or cluster of berries, alternate with plain leaves around the outer edge of this autumn mandala. A wide band of woven, Celtic-knot-style ribbons wraps around the middle section, framing a ring of wheat ears and oak leaves with their acorns, then a wreath of rounded, pumpkin-like shapes dotted with berries. At the center, a small spiral sun with curled rays sits among scrolls, one loose leaf and a few dotted circles, before a plain circle closes the design.

The linework stays fine throughout: the wheat awns, the woven band and the spiky sun rays call for a steady hand and a fine tip, while the plain leaves and rounded shapes near the center offer open space that fills quickly. This printable mandala suits colorists with some practice already, for a session of about two to four hours.

Work the large leaves and the pumpkin wreath first, then move to the interlace and wheat ears, the most delicate parts of this mandala coloring page.
