At the very center sits a small blank circle, ringed by a tight band of tiny circles that reads almost like a fine gear. Eight large heart-shaped petals fan out from it, arranged into a flower, before the design opens into a thick band of curling acanthus leaves, small flower buds and coiling vines. The outer silhouette never settles into a clean circle: it ends in dozens of small spiral tips that jut out unevenly, giving the whole piece a lace-like edge rather than a beaded border.

The line stays thin and the surface stays busy all the way through — there's no large open area to rest the eye, which makes this printable mandala better suited to an experienced colorist working with fine markers or sharpened pencils than to a beginner. Expect several hours across multiple sittings to fill every scroll and petal cleanly.

Start with the eight central petals, which offer the widest surfaces, before moving into the outer scrollwork, where gaps narrow enough to test the sharpest point of a colored pencil.
