Dog Mandala #15 - Free Coloring Page

A dog's profile with its mouth open in a howl fills the centre, its fur replaced by tight scrolls and spirals that curl toward the muzzle. A ring of small round beads frames this medallion, followed by a band of pointed petals set close together. A wide band comes next, alternating eight dog heads with geometric diamonds in radial symmetry, then an outer ring mixes small textured-fur medallions with clusters of four-petalled flowers. The outer edge isn't a plain circle: a frieze of small rounded bumps runs just before the fine double line that closes the design.

The linework stays fine from centre to edge, but the areas to fill vary: the scrolls on the head and the medallions in the last ring call for a very fine tool, while the petals and diamonds fill in faster. This mandala coloring page suits someone already comfortable with fine markers, good for a two-to-three-hour session.

Start with the central head, the densest part, before tackling the small outer medallions, which need the steadiest hand. Fine-tip pens or hard pencils work best there. For this printable mandala, print at A4 on paper of at least 200 gsm so ink doesn't bleed through the beads or petals.
