At the center, a dragon with finely drawn scales coils inside a circular medallion, horned head turned left, jaws slightly open. A ring of small tightly packed flowers surrounds it as a continuous garland. A band of leafy scrollwork and rosettes follows, separated by a thin double circle from a ring alternating pointed leaves and round medallions. The outer edge is jagged, not a plain circle: large pointed petals alternate with tight spirals.

The linework is fine and dense, especially in the dragon's scales and the scroll bands, leaving little room for flat color. The widest spaces sit in the outer petals and a few rosettes.
