Dragon Mandala #3 - Free Coloring Page

At the center of this mandala, a tiny round rosette with tightly packed scalloped petals opens the design. Four curling spirals unfurl from it like commas, separated by thin pointed triangles. A first circle closes off this core before a ring of shield-shaped petals with double-curved edges takes over. A second circle, drawn in double line, precedes the outer ring: eight large flame-shaped petals alternate with small solid dots, then a border of three-lobed clover shapes ripples all the way to the clean circle that closes the composition.

The linework is fine and even, but cell density varies sharply: the center and the clover border pack in tiny shapes, while the eight outer petals leave large, easy-to-fill areas. That contrast suits an experienced colorist and turns this mandala coloring page into a project of several hours.

Start with the central rosette and the spirals using a fine liner or a sharp pencil, since these areas leave little room for error; save broad markers for the large outer petals. This printable mandala looks best on A3 paper of at least 200gsm, heavy enough to prevent marker bleed-through.
