Dragon Mandala #9 - Free Coloring Page

At the center of this mandala sits a small spiral whirl, ringed by a coiled dragon whose scaled body wraps around it in a continuous band; its horned, whiskered head, jaws open, rises at the top. Next comes a ring of stylized cloud scrolls, followed by a wider band split into four symmetrical clusters, each pairing two facing dragon heads among flame-shaped wings and lotus buds linked by curling scrollwork, all closed off by a thick border of fine diagonal hatching that reads like a braided cord.

The line stays thin throughout, but the scale of the spaces shifts sharply: the dragon's scales and the border hatching are tiny and repetitive, while the dragon heads, wings and lotus buds leave larger areas to fill. This mandala coloring page rewards a steady hand on small spaces and suits someone already used to dense patterns, needing three to four hours of focused work.

Start on the dragon's body and the braided border with a fine liner or a well-sharpened pencil before moving to the larger wings and clouds. Print this printable mandala at A3 on paper of at least 200 gsm so the tight lines near the center stay crisp and the sheet resists bleed-through.
