Easter Mandala #7 - Free Coloring Page

Four ribbon-tied baskets full of eggs sit at the diagonal corners of this mandala, linked by a looping ribbon chain that borders the circle. Moving inward, a ring of four-petaled flowers surrounds a slim cross set at each of the four cardinal points. At the center, small checkered eggs cluster tightly around one large egg banded with four wavy stripes and rows of dots, all inside a scalloped tooth edge.

Line work stays fine and busy throughout: the basket weave, the small patterned eggs and the tiny flowers call for a fine-tip pen or a well-sharpened pencil to stay inside the shapes. Surfaces range from the fairly wide bands on the central egg to the miniature checks on the smaller ones, which suits someone already at ease with a mandala coloring page, over several sittings.

Start with the central egg in colored pencil, since its wide bands are easy to control, before moving to the small eggs and basket weave, the fussiest parts of this printable mandala. Save fine markers for the tiny flowers and the looping ribbon border. Print it at A4 on heavy paper, at least 200 gsm, so ink doesn't bleed through.
