Sunburst rays, zigzag rings and four star points around an empty disc.
At the center of this mandala sits a small empty disc. Around it, sixteen thin triangular rays radiate outward like a sun, reaching a first circle. Two zigzag rings follow, made of triangles pointing alternately inward and outward, the second with wider teeth. The outer band splits into sixteen panels, and four of them, at north, south, east and west, stretch into large points that break through the outer circle, so the final outline reads as a four-point star rather than a plain circle. Every shape here is straight-edged; there isn't a single curve besides the circles themselves.
The line stays thin and even from center to edge. The two zigzag rings hold many small triangular cells that are simple despite their number, since none has a curve to follow, while the sixteen outer panels and four big points give large, quick-to-fill areas. This mandala coloring page suits beginners and anyone wanting a short session: about thirty minutes covers the whole design.
A fine-tip marker or a sharply sharpened pencil keeps color inside the narrow zigzag teeth, the tightest part of the drawing; start with the central disc and the four big points before tackling the two zigzag rings. For this printable mandala, an A4 sheet of heavy paper, at least 200gsm, keeps marker ink from bleeding through the finer sections.
