Simple Mandala for Beginners #2 - Free Coloring Page

Sunburst flower with pointed petals framed by a ring of symmetrical scrolls.
At the center of this mandala sits a plain round disc left empty, ringed by a tight band of small rounded petals. A second, larger ring repeats the same floral idea with bigger pointed petals, each tip split by a center line into two paired lobes, forming a single flower closed off by a thin circle. Beyond that circle runs a wide band of curling scrolls and spirals, alternating with small pointed leaves and repeating heart-shaped swirls arranged with clear symmetry. The whole design ends in two clean, thin concentric circles at the outer edge, with no beading or scalloped cut.
The line stays fine and even from center to rim, though the density shifts sharply: the large petals give wide, easy-to-fill areas, while the outer band, packed with interlocking spirals, calls for a steadier hand. As a mandala coloring page it suits someone starting out on the broad central shapes, with a real test of patience waiting in the border. Plan on roughly an hour to ninety minutes to fill the whole disc.
Start with the big petals using markers to cover the wide areas quickly, then switch to colored pencils for the outer scrolls, where a fine point keeps the tightly packed spirals inside their lines; the petal tips and the small spiral centers are the fussiest parts to control. For this printable mandala, print at A4 and use paper of at least 200 gsm so marker ink doesn't bleed through.
