An eight-petal flower ringed by spiral hearts and sprigs.
At the center of this printable mandala, an eight-petal flower opens around a small circle, four wide petals alternating with four narrower ones. A scalloped crown surrounds it, then diamonds and chevron points radiate toward the four corners. Further out, eight spiral hearts alternate with eight three-leaf sprigs, followed by two rings of small dots and a plain outer circle, with no beaded edge or cut-out.
The line is even and fairly thick on the flower and hearts, leaving generous areas that are easy to fill in; it thins out on the sprigs and dots, which call for more precision. This mandala coloring page suits a child just starting out as well as an adult, for a session of around thirty minutes.
Fine markers work well on the large center areas; keep a hard pencil for the small leaves and dots, which merge quickly if the line is crossed. Start with the central flower before moving out to the outer rings. Print it on A4 paper of at least 160gsm so markers don't bleed through.
