At the centre of this mandala sits a plain empty circle, with no pattern inside it. Around it runs a ring of small, slender teardrop points, followed by a wider ring of pointed, almond-shaped petals. A thin double circle line separates this floral centre from a broad outer band of large, rounded petals that overlap each other, their tips shaping a scalloped, flower-like edge rather than a plain circle.

The line work is clean and even, and the shapes stay generously sized, even the small teardrops near the centre are wide enough for a fine marker or coloured pencil. This makes it a good printable mandala for children and for anyone starting out with a mandala coloring page. Expect around thirty minutes for the two inner rings, plus a bit more for the large outer petals if you blend shades carefully.

Start with the central disc and the ring of small teardrops, the narrowest areas, before moving to the big outer petals where broad markers glide easily. Print this design on paper of at least 200 gsm in A4, sturdy enough to hold felt-tip pens and markers without bleeding through.
