Eight-pointed star ringed by spiral paisley scrolls

At the center of this mandala sits a plain, empty circle. Eight tapering spikes radiate from it like the points of a star, each filled with a different pattern - wavy lines, horizontal stripes, tiny stars, or scattered dots - and separated by small round beads at their base. A second ring of eight wave-like paisley scrolls follows, each curling around a tight spiral and edged with a scalloped rim. Four small trefoil accents sit at the top, bottom, left, and right, tucked between the scrolls. The outer edge is a clean double circle: a thin line followed by a bold black ring that closes the design.

This printable mandala mixes large, easy sections - the blank center and the striped ray bands - with finer work inside the paisley spirals, which need a sharp pencil tip. It suits a beginner for the rays but rewards anyone who enjoys detail in the scrolls; expect around an hour and a half from start to finish.

Start with the eight central rays using medium markers, then switch to a fine liner for the spirals and scalloped edges of the scrolls. For this mandala coloring page, print on 200-250 gsm cardstock at A4 size so the ink doesn't bleed through.
