Mother's Day Mandala #13 - Free Coloring Page

Hearts frame this design at every scale, from the tiny pair tucked beside the mother's medallion to the large hearts that reach the outer rim. At the center, a round medallion holds a mother cradling her baby, drawn in a fine outline. A first ring of small roses and tight buds surrounds the medallion, followed by a band of heart shapes filled with roses, scrollwork and slender leaves. The outermost ring alternates big hearts with pointed leaf shapes radiating to the edge, and the whole piece closes on a clean double circle, with no beading or scalloping.

This mandala coloring page mixes big and tiny spaces: the outer hearts and the central medallion are wide enough for broad strokes, while the rose ring is packed with small, layered petals that need a steady hand. It suits an experienced colorist who enjoys switching between bold fills and fine detail, and it will take a few sittings to finish completely.

Start with the central medallion so the mother and child's faces stay clean, then move outward, saving the rose clusters for last since they are the most delicate part of the drawing. A fine 0.3mm marker keeps the small petals crisp. For this printable mandala, print on at least 200gsm A4 paper so the ink doesn't bleed through.
