Tight scrollwork covers almost the whole surface here. At the middle, a small ring holds a crown of narrow points around a rounded-petal rosette, like a star folded back on itself. Comma-shaped scroll pairs curl around it, then large heart-shaped leaves spread into eight symmetrical panels, dotted with tiny five-petal flowers and pointed buds all the way to an edge made of broad leafy lobes rather than a plain circle. The line stays thin and continuous, breaking the design into many small closed shapes — flowers, buds, scrolls — best suited to fine markers or a sharply pointed pencil. Few large areas allow quick filling with a broad marker. This mandala coloring page rewards a hand used to detail work, and reaching the outer lobes from the center takes more than one sitting. Start with the central rosette while your hand is steadiest, then work outward panel by panel toward the eight outer lobes, where the tiny buds and scrolls are the narrowest spots to isolate.
