Zentangle Mandala #22 - Free Coloring Page

A small cross-shaped core sits inside a tight rosette of pointed petals, from which an eight-pointed star bursts outward, its triangular rays alternating with small teardrops and curling scrollwork. A clean circle closes off the star, followed by a leafy scroll band scattered with tiny dot clusters, a wide ring of arched leaves set in facing pairs, and a dense band of fine radiating points, the whole finished with a crisp double-line circle and no beading.

The linework stays thin and even throughout, but the open areas shrink toward the rim: the star's rays and the arched leaves color in easily, while the outer band of fine points and the small dot clusters tucked in the scrollwork call for a sharp tip. This mandala coloring page suits a steady, practiced hand and is best tackled over more than one sitting.

Save fine markers or a short, sharpened pencil for the outer band and the tiny dot clusters, the trickiest areas to keep clean; start instead with the wider central star to get a feel for the pattern. For this printable mandala, print at A4 on a smooth paper of at least 200 gsm, heavy enough to take repeated pencil layers.
