Eight-fold symmetry structures this design: a small daisy with slender petals sits inside a ring of broader lotus petals, closed off by a thin circle. The band around it mixes teardrop petals, tight clusters of small dots like bunches of berries, and patches of criss-cross trellis. Past a second circle, the outer band repeats pointed arches topped with a curled scroll, round layered flowers and slim leaves. A tight row of solid black half-circles, like a string of dark beads, closes the rim.

The linework stays fine throughout, but the middle band, with its dot clusters and trellis squares, holds the smallest areas to fill; the outer arches and petals leave more room to work with.
