At the middle of this mandala sits a tiny six-pointed star, its narrow triangular petals closing around a single white point. Six curling plumes spring outward from it at once, each tipped with a teardrop heart, fanning out to fill most of the circle. Small dotted-center rosettes are tucked between their curves at regular intervals, and the outermost band tightens into a dense ring of comma-shaped spirals and scattered dots. A thick, unbroken black line closes the whole composition into a clean circle, with no beading or scalloping.

Most of the space here is narrow slivers between neighboring scrolls, so a fine tip is needed to stay inside the lines; the six central plumes, by contrast, offer broader areas that take shading well.
