Four concentric bands spread outward from it: the first braids tiny hearts and tight curls; the second opens into flame-shaped leaves and points separated by narrow diamonds and round beads; the third thickens the linework with clusters of teardrops; the outer band widens into broad rounded petals that give the piece a scalloped outline rather than a clean circle.

The line stays fine throughout, but the open spaces shrink toward the edge: areas near the star are wide enough for pencil or brush pen, while the diamonds, beads and points in the outer bands call for a fine liner or a sharp pencil.
