Art Nouveau Mandala #19 - Free Coloring Page

Sweeping Art Nouveau scrollwork wraps the outside of this mandala: whiplash stems, small bell-shaped flowers and spirals repeat around a full turn. Just inside, a narrower ring alternates dotted-center rosettes with slender comma shapes. At the very core, a twelve-point flower radiates from a small empty circle, and two clean concentric circles frame the whole design without beads or scalloping.

Line weight stays thin and even throughout, but the amount of detail shifts sharply from one zone to the next: the twelve central petals give large, easy surfaces, while the rosette ring and the outer scrolls pack in many tight little cells. This mandala coloring page suits an experienced colorist best, and the fine sections alone can take a couple of hours.

Fine-tip pencils or markers work best on the small rosettes and commas of the middle ring, while the wide central petals take broader markers well; starting at the center and working outward toward the denser scrollwork keeps the pattern easier to follow. As a printable mandala, it holds up best on A4 paper of at least 200gsm, thick enough to stop markers bleeding through.
