A spiral cross medallion opens into a star rosette ringed by knotwork.
A tight cross of four curling spirals fills the center, meeting at a tiny core. That medallion opens into a star-shaped rosette with concave points, packed with scrollwork, coiled leaves and heart-shaped curls. A plain circle closes it before a wide outer band of Celtic knotwork: interlaced ribbons, triangular points and small round medallions each holding a spiral. Two clean, concentric circles frame the whole design.
The line stays fine from center to edge, but density rises sharply in the outer band, where the knots pack in tighter cells. The central rosette leaves somewhat larger areas. This mandala coloring page suits colorists already used to fine detail; covering the whole sheet carefully takes a full session.
Sharpened colored pencils or fine-tip markers work better than broad markers, especially across the knots and roundels of the outer band, the trickiest part. Starting at the central medallion is a good warm-up before the interlace. For this printable mandala, print at A4 on paper of at least 160gsm.
