An eight-pointed star sits at the heart of this mandala, ringed by a band of rounded petals that interlock like a small rosette. Eight large spirals uncoil around it, forming a second flower-shaped crown. Next comes a band alternating pointed, almond-shaped ovals with square shield motifs topped by a small triangle, each holding a tiny spiral. The whole design closes on a wide band of Celtic-knot interlace, braided with triangles and scrolls, before two thin concentric circles finish the outline cleanly.

The line stays fine and even, but the cells to fill are numerous and often small, especially in the interlace band and the pointed almonds: this mandala coloring page rewards precision over speed. The center and the large spirals offer more generous areas to work in, while the braided border takes up most of the time. It suits a colorist used to dense geometric patterns; expect two to three hours to cover it carefully.

A fine-tip marker or colored pencil works better than a broad marker, so the ink doesn't bleed past the almonds or the knotwork cells. Start with the central star and the spirals before tackling the border, the most delicate section.
