Majestic Lion Mandala #9 - Free Coloring Page

At the center, a small circle holds a fine eight-pointed star. It is ringed by small paired circles set like twin bubbles just around the medallion. The main band follows: large almond shapes resembling peacock-feather eyes, each with a double outline, repeat all the way around in two overlapping rows. The outer edge is neither a clean circle nor a beaded border — it closes in curling swirls and tendrils dotted with small points, giving the design a jagged, scalloped silhouette.

The line stays thin and even throughout, yet the sheer number of almond shapes, double outlines and dots builds up a dense field of small areas to fill. Sections near the center are tiny and call for a steady hand, while the large almonds offer more generous space for color. This mandala coloring page suits someone already used to detailed work rather than a first-timer, and it takes more than one sitting to finish.

Since the outer tendrils and the dots along the rim are the finest parts of the drawing, a sharpened colored pencil or a fine liner keeps color inside the lines better than a broad marker would. Starting at the central medallion and working outward keeps the color balance consistent. For this printable mandala, an A4 sheet on paper of at least 200gsm keeps the ink from bleeding through and holds up to the detail.
