Wild Animals Mandala #1 - Free Coloring Page

A hummingbird in profile, wings fully spread, perches over a symmetrical cross-shaped cluster of stylised leaves and small berry bunches at the centre. A thin circle closes this medallion, opening onto a band of acanthus scrolls, spirals and small four-petaled flowers, itself topped with a cluster of blossoms. A wider outer ring lines up large five-petal flowers alternating with leaf bunches and clusters of tiny asterisk-like dots, and a plain double circle closes the whole design at the edge.

The line stays fine throughout, with dense hatching on the bird's feathers and the central scrollwork; the outer flowers, by contrast, offer bigger, easier fields to fill. This printable mandala suits someone already at ease with fine markers or colored pencils, and takes a few sittings to complete.

Start with the hummingbird's feathers, the most delicate part, before moving out through the scrollwork to the broad outer petals, which forgive a heavier hand. For this mandala coloring page, print on A3 paper at 200gsm so marker ink won't bleed through.
