Dog Mandala #3 - Free Coloring Page

A ring of sixteen animal heads faces inward around the edge of this mandala: floppy-eared labradors, a bulldog, a chihuahua with tall ears, and among them two rounder, whiskered faces that read more as cats than dogs. That border sits inside a plain double circle, with no beads or scalloping, framing the rest of the design. Just inside it, a band of triangles pointing alternately in and out is broken up by tiny paw prints and bone shapes. Closer to the middle, an eight-pointed star fills with small diamonds and flowers, and at the very center a single round medallion holds one paw print, the only motif standing entirely on its own.

The line stays thin throughout, but the ring of faces is what makes this mandala coloring page demanding: each muzzle has its own eyes, ears and fur pattern to fill in separately, and the star and triangle band in the middle ask for the same care. Nothing here counts as a large open space, not even the untouched background. It suits someone already comfortable with fine markers or a sharpened pencil, and realistically takes two to three hours from the center to the last face.

Start with the central medallion and star before moving out to the sixteen faces, which take the longest and need the steadiest hand, especially around the eyes and fur details. Giving each animal its own color makes the finished ring easier to read. For this printable mandala, print on at least 200gsm paper at A4 or letter size so fine markers don't bleed through the tightly packed center.
