Dog Mandala #9 - Free Coloring Page

A paw print sits at the centre of this mandala, ringed by a plain circle. Eight heart-tipped points spread outward, packed with fine scrolls and spirals that read like a delicate star closed inside a larger circle. Beyond it runs a band of illustrated dogs — two huskies with black-marked fur, a curly poodle, and other breeds — each surrounded by small bones, paw prints and flowers. Several thin, even concentric circles close the design at the outer edge.

Line weight shifts across the sheet: tight and detailed in the central rosette, much bolder on the dogs' bodies around the rim. This mandala coloring page suits beginners, who can stay with the animal shapes, as well as detail lovers drawn to the spirals. Plan on an hour for the dogs alone, twice that if you also fill in the rosette and border.

Start with the dogs and their small motifs in marker or coloured pencil, then move to the central rosette, the most delicate part with its tight scrollwork; the black patches already printed on the huskies' fur don't need colouring. For this printable mandala, A4 on 200gsm paper keeps markers from bleeding through the busiest lines.
