Japanese Mandala #10 - Free Coloring Page

At the center of this mandala, a five-petaled cherry blossom sits inside a clean circle, its stamens shown as small dots arranged in a fan. A ring close around it holds two miniature torii gates, sprigs of bamboo and small dots, then a band of radiating fan segments opens outward. A wide ring follows, filled with flying cranes, plum blossoms, stylized clouds and a diamond lattice, before an outer band of scalloped seigaiha waves, the whole design closed by several thin concentric circles.

The line stays fine and even throughout, but the size of the spaces varies a lot: the central petals are easy to fill, while the waves and fan rays break the outer rings into many small, tight cells. This mandala coloring page suits colorists already used to detail more than a first attempt, and finishing it without rushing takes more than one sitting.

Fine-tip markers or well-sharpened pencils keep color inside the cranes and bamboo sprigs better than a broad marker; start with the central blossom and work outward ring by ring, saving the wave band for last since it holds the finest lines.
