Radiating central flower framed by fans, cherry blossoms and scrolling arabesques.

At the center of this mandala, a pointed-petal flower sends thin straight rays out to a first circle, like a small sunburst. A ring surrounds it immediately, alternating open Japanese folding fans, small round medallions filled with fine geometric hatching, and square knot-like symbols. A second, wider ring repeats the fan motif on a larger scale, separated by five-petaled cherry blossoms and Greek-key bands. The outer band unrolls long scrolling arabesques punctuated by more cherry blossoms and fan-shaped shells, all closed off by a clean double circle, with no beading or scalloped edge.

The line stays fine throughout this mandala coloring page, but the size of the spaces varies a lot: the central rays and the hatching inside the medallions call for a sharp pencil tip, while the large fan scallops and the outer scrolls leave much bigger areas to fill in. It suits a colorist already comfortable with a printable mandala at smaller scale, someone able to switch between careful strokes and quicker flat fills; expect several sittings to cover the whole design without rushing the line.

Fine-tip pens or colored pencils work better than a broad marker, especially inside the round medallions and the knot symbols where space is tight; start with the central flower and its rays before moving out to the rings, which are more forgiving. For crisp results on the finest details, print this Japanese mandala at A4 on paper of at least 160 gsm, which holds up to repeated pencil work better than standard copy paper.
