Japanese Mandala #2 - Free Coloring Page

At the center of this mandala sits a five-petaled cherry blossom with fine stamens, held inside a small circle. Two rippling, wave-like bands wrap around it before a large star with sharp points radiates outward. A wider ring depicts Japanese scenes: cranes with open wings, bamboo stalks, folded fans, and small round medallions each holding a crane. A thin band follows, alternating torii gates with a tight lattice grid and small cherry blossom sprigs. The outer ring lines up square compartments, each holding either a flower or a cluster of three small blossoms, closed off by a clean circular line.

Linework stays fine throughout, tightening further in the outer squares and the crane medallions, while the wave bands and star points leave more open space to fill. This printable mandala suits an experienced colorist and takes several sittings to complete from center to edge.

Save fine-tip markers or pencils for the torii, cranes, and lattice grid, and start at the center before moving out to the outer compartments, the most delicate part of the piece. This mandala coloring page prints cleanly on A4 paper at a heavier weight, around 200gsm, which keeps fine ink lines from bleeding through.
