Tree of Life Mandala #1 - Free Coloring Page

At the center of the mandala, a symmetrical tree of life spreads two rounded canopies of spirals and small leaves around a trunk whose fibers interlace like a Celtic knot; the roots, woven the same way, stretch into wavy lines suggesting water, inside a circle edged with a slender braid. A ring of acorns and lobed oak leaves alternates all around, followed by a band of arched points and angular fret-like shapes recalling a rose window. The outer edge is a thick double black line.

The linework is fine and dense, especially in the canopy's spirals and the acorn ring, multiplying the small areas to fill; the interlaced trunk and the wavy lines at the base, wider, color in faster. This mandala coloring page suits a teen or adult used to detailed patterns, in about two to three hours.

Colored pencils or a fine liner suit the spirals and acorns, the most delicate parts; start with the waves and trunk before the botanical ring and the geometric band. For this printable mandala, choose A3 paper with heavier stock (200gsm or more) so markers won't bleed through.
