Tree of Life Mandala #18 - Free Coloring Page

At the centre of the mandala, a tree with a trunk braided from two twisting strands rises from wavy roots that cross above a two-curved horizon line. Its spiralling canopy fills almost the whole circle, carrying small leaves, roses, clusters of berries and a flower rosette at the heart of the foliage; two birds perch among the branches, under a crescent moon and a plain disc at the top. A thin circle frames the scene, followed by a ring of oval dots, a band of starry interlacing waves, a second dot ring, and a clean double circle closing the mandala.

The linework is fine and dense across the canopy, where leaves and spirals form many small areas best filled with a pencil or a fine liner; the trunk, roots and outer bands offer larger, calmer surfaces. This mandala coloring page suits a colourist already comfortable with detail, and takes several hours spread over more than one sitting.

Start with the large zones - roots, trunk, outer bands - before the tiny leaves and the interlace near the edge, the finest parts, which respond better to a fine-tip pen than to a broad marker. For this printable mandala, choose paper of at least 200 gsm in A4 so markers or watercolor won't bleed through.
