Tree of Life Mandala #14 - Free Coloring Page

A tree of life fills the centre of this mandala: the trunk splits at its base into interlaced, celtic-knot roots twisted around a central spiral. The branches spread in mirror symmetry, carrying finely veined leaves and small round fruit, each tip curling into a spiral. A wide outer band is divided into rectangular compartments that alternate celtic interlace with small round medallions holding a flower or fruit, closed by two thin concentric circles with a clean, unbeaded edge.

The linework is fine and even, with many small areas: leaves, fruit, interlaced roots and the compartments of the outer band all call for a steady hand, especially inside the knotwork. This mandala coloring page suits an experienced colourist, teen or adult rather than young child, and takes several sittings to finish given how many small zones surround the trunk.

Fine liners or coloured pencils suit this design better than a broad marker, which would flood the delicate roots and outer medallions, its thinnest parts. Start with the wider foliage before the outer band. For a printable mandala like this one, use A3 paper at least 200gsm so fine lines don't bleed through.
