Tree of Life Mandala #3 - Free Coloring Page

At the center, a tree of life spreads a gnarled trunk whose roots interlace into a Celtic knot; its two symmetric canopies unfurl in spirals dotted with small circles, an owl perched on each side and a sun medallion sitting at the fork of the branches. A string of small linked circles, then a ring of spirals and concentric circles, frame the scene, followed by a wide border of knotwork, rosettes, stars and sun bursts, closed by a clean double circle.

The line stays thin and even throughout, but the cells shrink sharply from the tree toward the border: the trunk's broad shapes suit a wide marker, while the outer ring demands a fine tip for the knotwork and stars. This mandala coloring page suits a steady, experienced hand and several sessions to finish without tiring the wrist.

Save fine markers or pencils for the border's knotwork and stars, and use a broader marker for the trunk and roots; start with the tree, easiest to read, before the beaded ring and then the border, the most delicate part. This printable mandala deserves heavy paper, at least 200 gsm, in A3 to leave room for the tiny motifs.
