Tree of Life Mandala #9 - Free Coloring Page

At the center of this mandala stands a tree of life: the trunk splits into two branches curling into wide spirals, with thinner twigs also ending in swirls, and a canopy covered in tiny oval leaves. A layered flower rosette tops the tree, flanked by two smaller spiral-centered blossoms, while the roots interlace into a braided knot at the base. The tree sits inside a plain circle, surrounded by four rings: a band alternating stars, dotted sun circles and comma-shaped swirls; a wide belt of tightly packed pointed leaves; a ring of filigree scrollwork with four sunburst medallions at the cardinal points; and an outer border of overlapping pointed petals, closed by a clean double-line circle.

The linework is fine and dense, with countless small cells to fill — leaves, petals, knotwork — and only a few larger spaces between the trunk's branches. This printable mandala suits experienced colorists and takes several hours to complete.

Fine liners or a sharp pencil work better than markers for the braided root knot and the tiny leaves, the most delicate parts here; start at the central trunk before moving out to the rings. Print this mandala coloring page on A3, at least 200gsm.
