At the center of the mandala, a small rosette opens inside an eight-petaled flower, each pointed petal holding a slender leaf and a few black dots. A dense band of spirals and teardrops surrounds it, closed off by a circle. Further out, feather-eye teardrops alternate with sawtooth points, then a last ring of feathers and swirls leads into several thin circles and a jagged outer edge.

The line stays fine throughout, but the scale of the shapes shifts: the eight central petals give broad, easy areas, while the outer rings of swirls, drops and dots pack in many small spaces to fill one by one. Keep fine liners or pencils for the swirl bands and tiny dots, and save broader tips for the eight central petals to set the palette quickly; the filigree ring around the flower and the sawtooth border are the fussiest parts.
