Central Om framed by lotus petals and spiral scrollwork.

At the centre of this mandala sits the Om symbol inside a small circle rimmed with a row of fine beads. Around it, a ring of pointed lotus petals forms a compact flower, closed off by a plain circular line. Next comes a wide band of almond-shaped motifs packed with spirals and swirling scrolls, repeated eight times around the centre. A final ring of long, tapering petals, decorated with comma shapes and lotus buds, reaches the edge, which is closed by a clean double circle with no beading.

The line stays thin and even from centre to rim, but the spaces shrink sharply in the spiral and scroll bands: this mandala coloring page rewards a steady hand with a fine pen or pencil, and suits someone already comfortable with detailed coloring rather than a first-timer. Plan for several sittings to finish it, since the scrollwork rings take the longest to fill.

Start with the central medallion around the Om, where the shapes are larger and easier to fill, before moving on to the almond-shaped spirals that need the finest tips. For this printable mandala, print at A4 or A3 and use paper of at least 200 gsm so felt-tip pens don't bleed through.
