Eight-petal center, veined almond petals, and striped fan border.

At the center, an eight-petal rosette opens around fine lines that spread from the middle like the spokes of a compass, each petal doubled with a smaller petal nested inside it. A thin circle surrounds it, followed by a larger ring of eight almond-shaped petals, each marked with a central vein, forming a bigger flower that overlaps this circle. An outer band then alternates eight pointed leaves with eight small fan shapes striped with tight vertical lines, all closed off by a clean circle, with no beading or scalloped edge.

The linework stays even and fairly bold across the large petals, leaving wide areas to fill in: a child or a beginner can work through this mandala coloring page without straining their eyes, needing about thirty minutes for the big sections. Only the small striped fans in the outer band call for more patience, since their narrow lines are easy to overrun.

For this printable mandala, start with broad-tipped markers on the central rosette, then switch to a fine pencil for the striped fans at the edge, which are the trickiest part to keep inside. Print it on a heavy A4 or letter sheet, around 200 gsm, so marker ink won't bleed through.
