Lotus Mandala #14 - Free Coloring Page

At the centre of this mandala, a small circle holds an eight-petal rosette ringed with dots. A band of narrow, pointed petals surrounds it, then the large ring of rounded lotus petals opens out, each one hollowed with a curling spiral. A second row of pointed, dot-tipped petals closes the flower, followed by a dense outer band of scrolls and teardrop shapes, and finally a plain thin circle marks the edge.

The line stays fine throughout but tightens further in the outer band and the inner spirals, where the shapes to fill are tiny. The large rounded petals, by contrast, give wide open areas that are pleasant to colour flat. Start with the large petals in marker or coloured pencil, then switch to a fine-tip pen for the spirals and the outer scrollwork, the most delicate part of the drawing.
