Lotus Mandala #17 - Free Coloring Page

Eight-petal lotus with scroll medallions and a jagged leaf border.
At the center, a small plain circle anchors an eight-petaled lotus core, each petal split by a central vein. A second ring of broader, double-outlined petals, filled with layered almond-shaped leaves, opens around it to form the main eight-point lotus star. Between the large petals, curling scrollwork holds eight small round medallions. The outer band alternates eight teardrop-shaped leaves, each marked with a shield-like form and a single dot, with clusters of three slim pointed leaves, giving the edge a jagged, scalloped line rather than a clean circle.
The line stays thin and even from center to edge, breaking the design into many small compartments, especially inside the scrollwork and the layered petal interiors. The teardrop leaves near the outer edge offer larger, calmer areas to fill. This mandala coloring page suits teens and adults comfortable with fine detail more than young children; expect one to two hours depending on the colors used.
Start with the outer teardrop leaves and the central petals, easiest to isolate, before tackling the scrollwork and the round medallions, the most delicate parts of the drawing, using a sharpened pencil or a fine-tip marker rather than a broad one. For this printable mandala, print on A4 or letter paper at 200gsm or heavier so felt-tip pens won't bleed through.
