Moon Mandala #1 - Free Coloring Page

At the center, a round medallion holds a night sky: a crescent moon, five-pointed stars, softly scalloped clouds and small spiral curls. A ring of tightly touching circles surrounds it, then a band where four lotus flowers with layered petals mark the cardinal points, mixed with small crescents and circles. The outer border lines up stippled triangles dotted with tiny stars and snowflakes, closing into a clean round outline.

The linework is fine throughout and tightens in the two outer rings: the small circles and the stippled triangles call for a precise tip, while the night sky and lotus petals offer the widest spaces. This mandala coloring page suits an experienced colorist or a motivated teenager; expect two to three hours to finish it without rushing.

Start with the central medallion, then the ring of circles, before the triangle frieze, the trickiest part because of its tight stippling - a fine liner or a sharpened pencil will be more precise there than a broad marker. For this printable mandala, choose heavier paper (at least 200 gsm) in A4 size, so ink doesn't bleed through the finest details.
